Nouns DAO is venturing deeper into the content space with the funding of proposal 245, which will see a feature-length film written, produced and animated by Atrium creatives William Yu, HKJay, Zen Doubt and 3DPrint Guy.

ouns DAO has funded its first feature-length animated film, The Rise of Blus: A Nouns Movie, which features popular NFT characters from the Nouns community. This marks the first-ever animated movie to be funded by a DAO.

Produced by crypto-native animation studio Atrium, the movie’s $3 million budget is contingent on a string of governance proposals passing. In contrast to the film industry’s black box status quo, the studio’s founder Supriyo Roy periodically publishes on-chain updates regarding the film’s progress and how funds are being spent. Scripts have also been made public ahead of the releases.

After announcing grand plans to launch an animated feature film back in March, Nouns DAO and Atrium have reached their first major milestone. On June 21, the ingenious duo launched a brand-spanking-new episode of their animated comedy, ‘The Rise of Blus: A Nouns Movie.’
